Wainfleet THS

25th May - 3rd June

Wainfleet is an ancient port and market town on the east coast of Lincolnshire - a good base for visiting the Lincolnshire Wolds, Skegness, and the Coast. It is situated 5 miles south-west of Skegness and 14 miles north-east from Boston. It stands on the rivers Steeping and Limb that form the Wainfleet Haven.

Wainfleet is self-sufficient for shopping with a Co-op Supermarket, a butcher, a greengrocer, hairdressers, a newsagent, a petrol station and a fishing equipment & bait shop. There are local gift and furnishing shops and a new well stocked craft shop. Friday’s market on the square sells almost everything else!  There is an auction on market day mornings there during the summer months. Please note half day closing is on Thursdays.

The centre boasts a Tea Shop, Sandwich Shop, Kebab shop, Fish and Chip Shops, Chinese Take Away as well as Pubs and the Brewery all offering good food.

There is also a regular bus services to Skegness and Boston (Stagecoach Interconnect 7 / X7)

Wainfleet is famous for Magdalen College built by William of Wayneflete in the 16th century, Barkham Street a striking 19th century street of Victorian town houses, and Batemans Beer with its Brewery situated on the banks of the Haven.
